Exchange Dublin
is a new collective arts centre on Exchange Street Upper, funded by the Arts Council Young Ensembles Scheme and supported by Project Arts Centre. Since they got into the building in June, the space has become a hive of creativity and ideas. Events, discussions and meetings, programmed and spontaneous, happen constantly throughout the week. Everything that takes place is either created or curated by the open community that work within the space.

Exchange Dublin is also a space for experimental politics. It is forming its organizational structure organically, towards the objective of an open decision making process that facilitates and nurtures creative expression.

Anyone can form a group or start a project at one of the monthly General Assemblies. Some of the groups already working in the space include:

The Exchange Gallery shows new work by young emerging visual artists. With new shows installed every two weeks.

Exchange Reel hold film screenings every fortnight and a short-film festival once a month.

Words holds monthly nights of performance poetry, drama and stand-up comedy.

No Signal are a collective of psychonauts that regularly host workshops and events focused around experimental digital audio and video.

Milk and Cookies hold monthly nights of storytelling and baked goods in a soft-furnished environment.

Audio organize gigs of local bands and international acts.

Stitch and Bitch meet once a week to...

This is a space for new ideas, This is a space for connections,
This is a space for action.
